Unity Gamepad sample for Android and PC
DCoombes Feb 2014 Initial Version , May 2015 Just tested this with SHIELD Android TV and Unity 5. Works fine.
This Unity 4.3.4 project supports multiple Gamepads on both PC and Android. It maps the Gamepad data to an internal data structure making cross platform development between PC and Android simpler. It supports upto 4 connected Gamepads.
This code is quite basic and there are much better solutions available like InControl from Gallant Games which supports a much wider range of controllers. http://www.gallantgames.com/pages/incontrol-introduction
PC Gamepads Supported
*XBOX 360 Controller:: "XBOX 360 For Windows"
*Logitech F710:: "Controller (Wireless Gamepad F710)"
*Afterglow XBOX 360 Controller:: "Afterglow Gamepad for Xbox 360"
Android Gamepads Supported
*NVDIA SHIELD:: "NVIDIA Corporation NVIDIA Controller v01"
Nyko PLAYPAD PRO:: "Broadcom Bluetooth HID"
Notes on Nyko PLAYPAD PRO
*Fixed to use channels 12 and 13 for l2/r2 for wider device support.
