A sequence of VR projects created using Unity Engine while studying the Google Cardboard SDK. The goal was to get up and running on creating Virtual Reality content that can be consumed on mobile devices.
The project is structured in one single Unity project with multiple scenes. As I progress in the project I’ll add more scenes indicating the progress.
For Example the first scene would look something like this -->
Occasionally I’ll make use of some of the resources (prefabs, models and meshes) that were just imported from the Asset Store and therefore I’m not the Author. If you like can download and import assets from the Unity Asset Store too.
Opening, Compiling and Running the project
Please be aware that .gitignore remove some temp and configuration files unique to the computer that I used before pushing the project to GitHub. This may take some time to compile on your computer.
-Google VR v1.70.0
First Scene: adding content to the scene, modifying the skybox, adding the VR functionality. Now the app will track the user’s head movement and render the scene properly.
Second Scene: continuing with more head tracking details. This one adds the details of tracking head movement and give the perception of the user orbiting around the object in the scene. This will make the object rotate to see the different details of it.
